Coyotes Stomp Southwestern 63-13 in Homecoming Game
The Coyotes went all out Saturday night during a rainy homecoming game against the Southwestern College Moundbuilders. They went on to prevail as they controlled the entire game and would go on to win 63-13 as the fourth quarter came to a late end. This puts their overall record at 3-1 and 1-1 in conference play. Furthermore, this puts their NAIA ranking at No.14.
The night started off with the dedication of the Graves Family Sports Complex to former Kansas Governor and Wesleyan alumni Bill Graves. The game then got pushed back to 6:30 p.m. due to a lightning delay. There were a total of two more lightning delays throughout a first half that ended around 9:30 p.m. and saw the Coyotes leading 21-6. That gave them momentum to come out of the locker room for the second half and to dominate the rest of the game.
