The game started out very slow, and the Yotes’ faced a lot of action in the mid field. In the 12th minute OKC’s lead forward, Logan Stewart, took a low shot and nailed the post. From that point on, the Stars were in control and they dominated the field. The next chance for the Coyotes to make a move in the game was when their defense broke down and tried to pass the ball back to keeper, Fauris Franco, but the ball took a deflection and went right around Franco. Luckily, Franco was able to push the ball off of the goal line. In the 40th minute, Oklahoma City’s Aron Chapman launched a throw in deep into the box and the ball fell to OKC’s Nick Rhodes’ feet, but he wasn’t able to sneak it past Franco. Logan Stewart of Oklahoma City took a beautiful corner kick to the box, but no one was able to score off of it. After the first half: Kansas Wesleyan 0, Oklahoma City 0.

After starting the second half with the ball, the Coyotes ended up with a 2 on 0, but forward Jesse Lennon couldn’t find the back

of the net. The Coyotes had the ball at their feet for the first ten minutes of the second half. As soon as it felt that the Coyotes were about to take the lead, Aron Chapman was able to grab a rebound off of a beautiful diving stop by Franco, and gave the Stars a 1-0 lead. With ten minutes left, the Coyotes knew they needed to do something to tie the game up. The Coyotes were given multiple corners and had many great opportunities to score, but were not able to find the back of the net, giving the Stars a 1-0 victory over the Coyotes. The Coyotes fell to 3-3. Next Game: Wednesday September 21st vs Hastings College.
