February Skywatch

In our first episode of this semester, we mentioned the Skywatch astronomy programs that happen monthly on campus. We visited with Dr. Dorothy Hannah, who teaches Chemistry, and also serves as the President of the Salina Astronomy Club – which sponsors the Skywatch meetings. She tells NewsDesk there are several more programs planned for this semester. The next Skywatch program is coming up on February 23rd, and will feature a presentation and discussion on the James Webb Space Telescope, which is scheduled to be launched later this year. Those attending will get the chance for a little telescope stargazing after the presentation, weather permitting.
